We can make a perfect gerund with ‘having<\/strong> + past participle’ as the subject or object of a verb to talk about something completed before another moment in time. We can also do this with negative forms, by adding ‘not’.<\/span><\/div>\n
\u00b7\u00a0<\/span>Not having<\/strong> beaten his personal best was the most disappointing part of the race. (subject)<\/span><\/div>\n
